Hi! I am Leila Giacomarro, a member of PC ‘21 and this year's new member mom! Being from out of state as an only child, I definitely rushed to find my sisters, which is exactly what I’ve found. I value authenticity and vulnerability which were what I looked for during recruitment and will continue in my position. To me, the new member experience means inclusion. We strive to make every chapter member feel included and supported in everything they do during the bid and initiation process. Our new member experience starts at bid day where our sisterhood and spirit are shown in bright colors. For the following weeks, I will be teaching our new members the depth of our sisterhood and what it means to be a zeta! The new member retreat is our fun way of introducing the new pledge class to each other with some sort of trip or event. After initiation, we continue to support our new members and guide them as our new sisters. Zeta Tau Alpha is where I feel my best and hope to make others feel the same.
